Nigeria Bankers Games

The Nigeria Bankers Games – Season 18 continues this weekend with a hybrid of exciting sporting activities. The high-point of last weekend was the commencement of the Tennis and Indoor Events (chess, scrabble and table tennis) and top eight (8) banks transitioning to the quarter -final stage.

The male tennis semi-finalists and female tennis finalists will match-up this Saturday – 10th November 2018 at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Lagos Island. By the same token, the male doubles will resume with the quarter-final match while female doubles continues with the semi-final stage.

Furthermore, an unprecedented category in the Tennis event will be unveiled this Saturday. For the first time in the history of the Nigeria Bankers Games, the mixed doubles category will be introduced this Saturday. The match-up between male and female tennis players will present a proportionate representation of both gender in the Tennis event.

Sunday, 11th November 2018 will feature multiple exciting sporting activities. The indoor and football event will continue this weekend at Yaba College of Technology, Yaba. Table Tennis which was a major highlight last weekend will be concluded this week, likewise, the Chess and Scrabble events is on the homestretch. The male and female single categories will both be resuming with the semi-final stage while the doubles event for both categories will also commence this Sunday.

The Football event enters its quarter-final stage with four mouth-watering knockout fixtures to anticipate. The early kick-off will see titleholders – Fidelity Bank play against Keystone Bank – 2008 champions; FCMB will be looking to extend their winning streak as they take on Sterling Bank in the second game of the day. Union Bank will also be looking to secure a spot in the semi-finals when they take on Stanbic IBTC and the last game of the day will see Five-time champions – UBA battle First Bank for the last spot in the semi-finals.

REGISTRATION & ACCREDITATION

We implore that all participating athletes must;

  • Arrive at the venues at least 2 hours prior to the start of their event.
  • Come along with his/her company issued identification card for verification.
  • Come in a branded attire.
