Ahead of the semi-final matches, the glowing trophy went on a tour of the 4 semi-finalist banks.

The Trophy Tour is aimed at creating excitement and buzz while also meeting with the management of the banks.

The first stop was at Standard Chartered Bank, the team that would be making their 4th semi – final appearance in the Nigeria Bankers Games.

The Trophy Tour which was led by the Chief Operating Officer of MediaVision Limited, Mr. Jimmy Sogbesan was received by the Executive Director Finance, Yemi Owolabi and Segun Odusanya.

Also present at the reception was the Head of Corporate Affairs, Dayo Aderugbo and Head, Retail Banking, Ebiheh Momoh.

The Chief Operating Officer of MediaVision Limited, Mr. Jimmy Sogbesan thanked Standard Chartered Bank for their longstanding partnership with MediaVision Limited and the Nigeria Bankers Games and for the reception.

He remarked that Standard Chartered Bank have become one of the most consistent teams in the Nigeria Bankers Games and wished the team all the best.

Speaking on behalf of Standard Chartered Bank, the Executive Director, finance, reiterated their commitment to the Nigeria Bankers Games and their excitement at the opportunity to see the trophy. She enjoined the team to work hard to ensure the trophy returned to the bank for good.

In his response, the Standard Chartered Bank Team Manager, Hall of Famer, Mr. Funlola Oni, reaffirmed his team’s commitment to winning the trophy that has eluded him in his 9 years of playing in the annual tournament, he said this would be his swansong and that lifting the trophy will be a befitting end to his career.

The Trophy Tour is also scheduled to for the other semi-finalist teams, Fidelity Bank, First Bank and 5 times former Champions, Skye Bank.
