The much anticipated Season 3 of the Freekick Challenge will kick off on Saturday, August 8th 2015 and will run concurrently with this year’s Nigeria Telecoms Games.
The competition which is conceptualised by MediaVision Limited is a team sports involving four (4) players – one (1) goalkeeper and three (3) players. The teams are drawn in pairs and they compete in a challenge that involves free kicks and penalty kicks which have special points attached to it and the team with the most accumulated points emerge winner.
The 3rd edition is scheduled to last for four (4) weeks and will see twenty-four (24) teams displaying their techniques in the art of Free kicks and Penalty takes as they compete to get a chunk of a quarter of a million naira in Cash prizes.
Here is the prize distribution:
1st – One Hundred Naira (=N= 100,000)
2nd – Fifty Thousand Naira (=N= 50,000)
3rd – Thirty Thousand Naira (=N= 30,000)
4th – Twenty Thousand Naira (=N=20,000)
There will also be Individual prizes as well as consolation prizes for well deserving teams.
The competition will be played at two venues:
First two matches at Dairy Farm Agege.
Quarter-final, semi-final & final at The Legacy Pitch, National Stadium Surulere.
