The ceremonial presentation of the Overall Champions’ Plaque of the Nigeria Bankers’ Games 2014, to Fidelity Bank Plc was held on Wednesday 18th February 2014 at the Best Western Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos, Nigeria.
The plaque was presented to the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo by the Executive Director Projects and Activations of Mediavision Limited, Mr. Jimmy Sogbesan.
The presentation ceremony also served as a reception for members of the victorious Team Fidelity Bank led by the Team Manager and Hall of Famer, Mr. Theophilus Amadi. Also present was the most successful woman in the history of the Nigeria Bankers Game and only female Hall of Famer, Vivian Ezenwoko.
The Managing Director of Fidelity Bank commended the athletes for making the bank proud and enjoined them to keep up the excellent work; he also promised continued management support of the Team in the tournaments ahead.
Other top Management Staff of the bank present at the ceremony includes – Executive Director, Shared Services, Chijioke Ugochukwu; Executive Director, Lagos and Southwest Directorate, IK Mbagwu; General Manager, South-South, Charles Okoro and Martins Izuogbe – The Divisional Head of Operations.
Fidelity Bank Plc won a total of 19 medals, comprising 9 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze at the Nigeria Bankers Games 2014. This victory makes it a treble of Overall Championship for Team Fidelity Bank, having previously won in 2011 and 2012.
