The 17th edition of Nigeria Bankers Games kicked off on Sunday, 8th of October at the Yaba College of Technology Sports Pavilion in an emphatic fashion which saw Bua Group defeat Konga one-nil in a novelty match.

First Bank of Nigeria took on defending champions, Fidelity Bank in a thrilling opening fixtures which ended in a 0-0 draw as both sides tried to start the competition on a fierce note.

UBA finally gave the spectators something to cheer on, scoring three goals against an equalled matched FCMB.
