The quarterfinals of GTBank Masters Cup took place on the 8 and 9 of May, 2018 at the Agege Stadium, featuring several superlative performances from secondary schools that made the cut into the last eight.
DAY ONE
ANSAR-UD-DEEN GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL (7 – 0) GREENSPRING SCHOOLS
The quarterfinals began on a spectacular note which saw Ansar-ud-deen High School, Itire defeat a hapless Greenspring School. Brillant displays from Ademola Basirat and Aleem Aishat ensured the home team ran their opponents raged to start off an exciting encounter.

QUEENS COLLEGE (1-0) CORONA SCHOOL
The second female match of the day saw Queens College record a narrow win over Corona School courtesy a lone goal from Adun Ogunleye to progress into the semifinals of the competition.

CHRISLAND SCHOOLS (2 – 4) KINGS COLLEGE
First-half goals from Celestine Chwang, Caxton-Martins Emmanuel and Uyota Omohwovo condenmed the home side with an uphill task in the second half as they toiled to find their bearing, netting two goals in the process.

IGBOBI COLLEGE (1 – 1) EKO BOYS HIGH SCHOOL
(Penalty 4 – 3)
Day 1 of the quarterfinals ended in an emphatic fashion as the duo of Igbobi College and Eko Boys’ High School matched each other with equal strength netting one goal apiece in regular time; Igbobi College, however won on penalties after a tensed contest.

DAY TWO
ANSAR-UD-DEEN COLLEGE (1 – 0) METHODIST GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL
Lone goal from AbdulGaniu Zainab ensured victory for Ansar-ud-deen College against an evenly matched Methodist Girls High School in the first game of the day.

ATLANTIC HALL ( 3-0) FEDERAL SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE
The home side outplayed their opponents in what could have been a whitewash as Erediawa Ifueko Theola failed to convert several chances that fell to her despite getting a brace to help her side triumph over their foes.

ATLANTIC HALL (0 – 1) ST. FINBARR’S COLLEGE
In the first male match, the away side came out tops courtesy of a lone goal from Fasasi Elijah in the late minutes of the game despite strong performance from Chukwudum Anthony.

BAPTIST ACADEMY 0 – 6 ANWAR-UL-ISLAM MODEL COLLEGE
The last game of the quarterfinal stage did not fail to live up to fans’ expectations as Anwar-ul-Islam Model College scored six goals past Baptist Academy in a exciting encounter to wrap up what as been an all-entertaining round of matches.
