Match Day 3 started on a high as newcomers IHS defeated  two time champions, MTN 2-0 in the first match of the day. IHS Ibrahim Anifowoshe ran the MTN defence ragged and later scored from a counter attack.

Few minutes later, Ibrahim scored his second goal of the day and 4th of the season when he calmly converted from the spot kick and it was 2-0 at half time.

MTN tried to rally round and get back into game in the second half but it was difficult to get past the IHS solid defence. The match ended 2-0 in favor of IHS and MTN were defeated this season for the first time.

ETISALAT 0-1 LM ERICSSON

In the second game, LM Ericsson showed defending champions, Etisalat the good stuff they were made of. It was goalless at half time with both teams having scoring chances which were not converted.

Nevertheless, Charles Dafe of LM Ericsson gave his team the lead when his stunning free kick found the back of the net and that was enough to give his team the maximum 3 points.

Etisalat came close to equalising several times but Goalkeeper Ahmed Ajagbe of LM Ericsson denied their chances.
