The GTBANK-LSFA Coaching Certification Seminar is a new initiative by Lagos State Football Association in collaboration with GTBANK aimed at empowering Grassroot Football Coaches.
The knowledge gained from this qualification shall enable coaches to develop principles and practice a basic understanding of safe, ethical and effective management in football coaching to young people.
The objective of this seminar is to:
a. Help young people develop their football skills correctly at an early age.
b. Help young coaches and potential coaches get on the first rung on the LSFA’s football coaching ladder towards the acquisition of the LSFA-Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football.
c. Ensure that the LSFA-Level 1 Certificate is a minimum requirement for a person to act as a youth coach in Lagos State and to sit on the Technical Bench at any LSFA accredited School’s Football Match or competition.
d. To aid the development of a credible CV for employment in the sports and recreation industry.
The 3-days Seminar kicked off with a press unveil on Wednesday 22nd October, 2014 at the Sports Bar of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos by 9:00am.

The seminar had in attendance over 150 participants comprising of Sports Officers and grass-root local coaches.
