No fewer than 456 schools started the race in the season 2 of the Ogun State Principal’s Cup football tournament, which kicked off in the state on Wednesday February 26th 2014.
The competition sponsored by GTBANK PLC ,in which 269 male and 160 female teams vied for honours COMES TO A CLIMAX THIS FRIDAY.The finals of both the boys and girls events will hold at the prestigious MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, on June 20th 2014.
GIRLS FINAL
The girls final between ALAMUWA GRAMMAR SCHOOL ado odo who demolished Remo Divisional High School 6-0 in the Semifinal and EGBA OWODE GRAMMAR SCHOOL OWODE EGBA defeated Our Lady Of Apostles Secondary School Ijebu Ode 1-0 .it promises to be an exciting final between the high scoring and technical gifted Alamuwa Girls and the defensive and technically disciplined girls from Owode Egba.
BOYS FINAL
In the boys final ADEOLA ODUTOLA COLLEGE IJEBU ODE have a date with REMO DIVISIONAL HIGH SCHOOL SAGAMU. In the semifinal Remo divisional high school Sagamu after a pulsating encounter beat Pakoto high school 5-4 on penalties while Adeola Odutola beat hard fighting and enterprising Yewa Egbado College Ilaro 2-1 in the second semifinal.
Many dignitaries are expected to grace the Grand finale of this years tournament on Friday,among them is the amiable MR.Segun Agbaje MD GTBANK while the Chief Host and Governor of Ogun state Senator Ibikunle Amosun will be the special guest of honour .
