QUARTERFINALS ROUND UP
The quarterfinals of the GTBank-Ogun State Principals Cup quarterfinals took place at the M.K.O Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta on 18th & 19th March 2015.
DAY 1 (18/03/2015)
Girls
- 1. REMO DIVISIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 0-3 ST. ANTHONY’S GRAMMAR SCHOOL
The first quarterfinal game was between Remo Divisional High School, Sagamu and St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Ijebu Mushin which St. Anthony’s won 3-0. St. Anthony’s completely dominated the match and the goals could have been more as they kept pressing forward till the final whistle. Adeyemi Mariam scored a brace in that encounter to send her school through to the semifinal.

- 2. OUR LADY OF APOSTLES SENIOR SEC. SCHOOL 3 – 0 IKENNE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL
In the second match of the day also in the girls’ category, Our Lady showed their prowess as they comfortably got 3 goals past Ikenne Community to progress to the semifinal. Their show of skills and talents generated a lot of applause from spectators as each member of the team played with confidence and finesse.
Outstanding Player: Adesina Tumininu (Our Lady of Apostles)
Boys
- 1. MAKUN HIGH SCHOOL 0-4 ST. ANTHONY’S GRAMMAR SCHOOL
St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Ijebu Mushin brought their fantastic form to the quarterfinals by whitewashing Makun High School, Sagamu 4 – 0 in a one sided encounter. Ogunleye Emmanuel and Olaide Kehinde both scored a brace in that game as they showed their superiority over Makun and they are through to the semifinal.
Outstanding Player: Olaide Kehinde (St. Anthony’s)
- 2. IDOMILA COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL 1-1 ODE REMO HIGH SCHOOL (PEN- IDOMILA 2-4 ODE REMO)
This was a very sensational match as Idomila took the lead in the 11th minute through a penalty converted by Adesanya Lateef. But Ode Remo High School equalized at the stroke of half time through a fantastic shot by Sodiya Moses at the edge of the 18 yard box. The match ended 1-1 at regulation time and the game went straight to penalty shootout. Ode Remo were victorious after goal keeper Oseni Shaeed saved two penalty spot kicks out of four.

DAY 2 (19/03/2015)
GIRLS
- 1. UNITED COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL 7-0 COMMUNITY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
It was a great game to start the Day 2 of the quarter finals as United Comprehensive thrilled everybody except their opponents to a lot of goals. United girls could not stop scoring as they got 7 goals past community high school who were helpless as the onslaught continued to full time.
Outstanding Player: Onasola Maryam
- 2. AJOGBO SENIOR GRAMMAR SCHOOL 2-3 MUSLIM HIGH SCHOOL
Muslim High school showed their doggedness and determination as they came back from a goal down at half time to win. Ajogbo scored in the 9th minutes of the game and took the lead to the half time break but the Muslim High School girls came back from the break with fire and they scored 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. The game ended 3-2 in favor of Muslim High School.

BOYS
- 1. ASERO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 3-0 COMMUNITY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Odebode Toheeb inspired his team to victory as he scored a hat trick to give his school the semifinal ticket. Community Senior High School did not bring their A-game to the field of play and Asero had a filled day.

- 2. ITOLU COMMUNITY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1-2 PAKOTO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Itolu could not hold on to their first half lead as they were knocked out of the GTBank-Ogun State Principals Cup by Pakoto High School. They had the advantage before half time and looked poised in progressing to the next stage but they could not contain the pressure Pakoto kept applying and they got 2 goals in the second half. Itolu tried to get back into the game but were unlucky and Pakoto picked the last semifinal ticket.
Outstanding Player: Akinwale Sulaimon
