2. Grace High School 1 – 2 Jibril Martin Grammar School Jibril Martin are one of the two debutants that qualified for the quarterfinals but they will not be pushed over easily. They played a Grace team that lacked fire and they paid dearly for it as the game ended 2 – 0 at half time. Grace’s response at the start of the 2nd half was not enough to overturn the result and they will not be playing at the semifinals. Okusanya Faisol scored both goals for Jibril Martin while Olawale Abimbola scored the only goal of Grace High School.
Day 2 (27/02/2015)
1. St. Gregory’s College 4 – 1 Kings College
This is the most anticipated match of the season as two old rivals play to establish their dominance but the game was one sided as St. Gregory’s College came out with their full fire power and this resulted into 3 goals in four minutes. Though Kings College put one goal back before the first half break, Obi David’s second half goal sent St. Gregory’s through to the semifinal. The winners dominated a dull Kings College side and they have now defeated them twice in two years in the knock-out stages of the GTBank Masters Cup.
2. St. Finbarr’s College 3 – 1 Federal Science & Technology College
St. Finbarr’s College, Yaba is one of the most successful school in the history of secondary school football competition and they validated this pedigree when they defeated FSTC. The debutant were lacking confidence on the field of play and St. Finbarr’s exploited this weakness. Alex Mario was the hero of the match as the young lad scored two goals and his team picked the last semi-final ticket.
