The GTBank Masters Cup finals took place on Friday, 17th June 2016, at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos.

The competition saw amazing display of football skills from the students, with Greensprings School, Lekki, and Queens’ College, Yaba, emerging champions in the boys and girls categories respectively.

In the boys category, Greensprings showed no mercy when they played against defending champion, St Gregory College Ikoyi, dominating both half to put in 3 goals against the champions with St Gregory scoring a consolation goal in the second half to end the game 3-1.

However, in the girl’s category, defending champions, Queens’ College thrashed Federal Science and Technical College, Yaba 4-0 to retain their title.

The two schools got N750, 000 respectively, while the runners up in the two categories went home with N500, 000.

Present at the finals of the 2016 GTBank Masters Cup tournament were the Managing Director of the GTBank, Segun Agbaje; Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick; his Vice, Seyi Akinwunmi; Chirman of the Nigeria League Management Board, Shehu Dikki and many others.
