THE NIGERIA TELECOMS GAMES 2014
SEASON 4!!!
For the past 3 seasons, the Nigeria Telecoms Games has brought together individuals from across various organizations in the Nigeria Telecommunications industry to have fun, network, bond, and compete in a friendly atmosphere, while keeping fit.
Although, the main attraction of the NTG is the football event, other sports have begun to draw lots of spectators, fans and family alike.
Last season, the major talking points were –
The Tennis sensation from Etisalat, Raynner Okpara, appropriately dubbed the “RanExpress“. He leisurely dismissed all his opponents as he claimed Gold in both the singles and doubles event.
The speedsters from MTN, Chioma Ajunwa and Udoh Enoette, who completely dominated the tracks. They won a combined total of 4 Gold medals for MTN.
The ping pong master, Franklin Wodi of MTN. He was a class apart as he won Gold in the individual and doubles Table Tennis events.
The battle of wits in Chess and Scrabble was an exciting encounter that MTN dominated.
This season, athletes will once again compete for honours in Tennis, Table Tennis, Athletics, Chess and Scrabble.
Will there be new sensations tickling our fancy with exciting games; will the old hands continue to hold sway?
One thing is for sure, it is going to be another explosive season and the Sports Complex of the University of Lagos, Akoka, will once again be the battle ground.
