The Nigeria FMCG Games 2016 is gradually progressing.
The football event, which kicked-off on Saturday, 28th May 2016, has been exciting and fun-filled, with amazing football skills and intense competition.
Match Day 2 came with a lot of goals and surprises from competing teams.
The first match had Nestle and Dufil Prima battle for supremacy in a thrilling football game. The first 10mins of the match saw the Remita champions with 3 goals, and by the end of first half they were dominating with 5goals to nil.
With 5 goals in first half, the 2nd half was not a very palatable experience for Dufil Prima, as tension had built up, giving Nestle ample opportunity to score three more goals, and ending the match with 8 goals to nil.
MVP of the match was Nestle’s Iche Promise.
The second match of the day was between Unilever and Friesland Campina. The match began with Unilever dominating with 2goals, but a late penalty in favour of Friesland ended the first half with 2-1.
The second half of the match was highly competitive, with Friesland coming back better and equalising. But the FMCG Games defending champions refused to back down, ending the match with a 3-2 against Friesland.
MVP of the match was Timothy James of Unilever.
