DAIRY FARM PITCH COMMISSIONING

The Dairy Farm Senior Secondary Pitch Commissioning took place on Thursday 13th February, 2014 at Dairy Farm Senior Secondary School Agege Lagos.
In attendance were;

Bar. Olayinka Oladunjoye        – Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Education
Alh. Ibrahim                           – Rep. from Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social, Development
Mrs. Lola Odedina                    – GM Corporate Communication and External Affairs GTBank
Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh        – CEO MediaVision Limited
Bar. Seyi Akinwunmi               – LSFA Chairman
Mrs. Babs Akinyeye                 – Director, Co-corricular Services, Ministry Of Education
All the District Officers, Guest and staff from both Schools

The event of the day started with the arrival of Dignitaries at about 12:00 Noon.
The Opening Speech was given by Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh – CEO MediaVision Limited. He took the entire audience down memory lane of when He was a member of Boy’s Scout. The audience could not hold their laughter when He said He would have performed better than the leader of the Boy’s Scout.

Mrs. Lola Odedina; General Manager Corporate Communications and External Affairs GTBank, in her speech enumerated the success of the principals’ cup in Lagos State and also it replication in other states(ogun, Delta and Rivers) and Africa(Ghana, Senegal, Liberia).

Alhaji Ibrahim; Representative of the Commissioner of Youth, Sports and Social Development also expressed his joy in the success of the principals’ cup in Lagos state and praised GTBank for their support.
Bar. Olayinka Oladunjoye; Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Education expressed her happiness in the contribution of GTBank in sports in Lagos state.

THE COMMISSIONING PROPER
The Commissioning of the Football Pitch and the unveiling of the GTBank-Lagos State Principals Cup Monument were done by the Hon. Commissioner for Education assisted by Mrs. Lola Odedina – GM Corporate Communications and External Affairs GTBank and other dignitaries present at the occasion.
Items like balls, Corner Flags, Goal Post Nets, a 6HP Lawn mower were handed over to both schools through the Ministry of Education.

FRIENDLY MATCH
The Chairman Lagos State Football Association, Bar. Seyi Akinwunmi, was given the honour of taking the Ceremonial Kick Off for the friendly match played between Dairy Farm Senior School and Sanngo Senior Secondary School.
Dairy Farm Senior School defeated Sanngo Senior Secondary School by a lone goal scored in the first half.
The host Schools entertained guest at half time break through Cultural dance, Dance Choreography and Choir Ministration.
Both the Brigade boys and the Boy’s Scout clubs were on ground to add glamour to the occasion.

PRESENTATION
The players and officials from the football team of both schools were given gift souvenirs at the end of the match. The presentation was done by the CEO; MediaVision limited Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh and a representative of GTBank, Mrs Tolulope Onipede
The event came to a close at 2pm.
