NBG2019: WEEK 4 Preview – Football Event Enters Knockout Stage, Video Games & Tennis Begins

The Nigeria Bankers Games – Season 19 continues this weekend, with an exciting line-up of events for Saturday and Sunday and 13 gold medals up for grabs, this weekend promises to be the biggest weekend in the Nigeria Banker’s Games yet.

On Saturday 16^th November, the Tennis event will be commencing at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Lagos Island and it promises to be attention-grabbing as contingents take to the court to represent their banks. The event will conclude on Sunday where players will be looking to win medals.

The football event will be entering the knock-out stages on Sunday, with 4 mouth-watering ties. Sterling Bank will be looking to cause an upset in the first quarter-final fixture of the day as they will be taking on the reigning NBG Football champions – UBA.

The second tie will see First Bank who have been in great form after going unbeaten in the group stages without conceding a goal take on a newly rejuvenated Union Bank team determined to pick up where they left off in the group stages.

The third match of the day will see FCMB take on Wema Bank. Wema Bank who defeated Ecobank in their last outing will be looking to take that form into the knockout stages as they take on an FCMB side who are also yet to lose a game this season.

The final quarter-final fixture will see Fidelity Bank take on Ecobank. Ecobank will be looking to change their luck in the knockout stage as they take on a free-scoring Fidelity Bank team who have scored 9 goals (most in the competition so far).

Sunday will also see the commencement of the new NBG Event – Video Games. Male and female contingents will be going head-to-head in FIFA 19 and Mortal Kombat 11 games on PS4 Consoles. The event is expected to conclude on Sunday.

The final stages of the Table Tennis event will also hold on Sunday.
