ATHLETICS

The athletics event witnessed the 100m, 200m & 4x100m finals in both male and female category. In the 100m – male, Saheed Abdulrasak of UBA claimed gold, while Ajiboro Mary Lola of Ecobank won gold in the 100m – female. In the 200m – male, Okeowo Adebayo of Fidelity Bank won gold and in the female category Ajiboro Mary Lola won her second Gold medal. In the relay event UBA won Gold in the men’s category and Ecobank claimed Gold in the Female category.

 

Ajiboro Mary Lola of Ecobank emerged as the Overall Best Athlete after winning 3 Gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay and a Bronze medal in the Chess event

 

Medals and prizes were also given to the winners of the other events in Scrabble, Chess, Table Tennis, Tennis and Athletics.

After emerging as Overall Champions for the 2017 season, Fidelity Bank have now won the NBG overall champion a record 7 times.
