This is the educational aspect of the programme. A platform where the students get to learn from seasoned professional from PwC and other organization. The programme had speakers talk on Finance, Time Management, Career Path, Juvenile Delinquency, Security and Safety etc.
1ST MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME
The programme was on Thursday, 2nd June 2022 at Ground Junction Event Hall, Land Mark Towers Victoria Island by 10:00am. PwC staff were on ground to talk to the students on Financial Literacy, Career Path and Time Management. An alumni from the initiative also shared her chess story with the students. The highlight of yhe mentorship programme was mini chess challenge match with Chess in Slum Africa Team.

2ND MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME
The programme which was a 2 days event kicked off on Wednesday, 6th July 2022 at Government College Lagos, Eric Moore Surulere by 10:00am.
Seasoned professionals were on ground to facilitate the different sessions. CSP Taiwo Oyewale, DPO, Bar Beach Divisional Police, V/Island lectured the students on Security and Safety. Dr. Adebukola Bojuwoye – Head, Lagos State Sports Medicine facilitated the session on Drug Abuse and Mr Alex Ogbole – Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC handle the session on Financial Crime as related to students.
The highlight of the event was a trivia session for the student.
CHESS IN SLUMS AFRICA INITIATIVE, MAJINDU IKORODU
Day2 of the 2nd mentorship programme had the student visit chess in Slum Africa initiative at Majidun in Ikorodu for a return leg of the Chess mini Challenge. A courtesy visit to the palace of the Baale of Majidu – Chief Alexander Omoyele by the Chess4change initiative team was led by Delia Asuzu, Associate Director, Client and Market Development PwC.
Highlight for the day was the Chess mini challenge.
