Pwc Chess4change is a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by PricewaterhouseCoopers, supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Education, and the Lagos State Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development.

The core goal of the initiative is to introduce chess to secondary schools and use it as a tool to enhance student’s critical thinking ability to promote academic excellence as they prepare strategically for the future.

PwC Chess4Change is a yearly programme and it is divided into the four parts which includes:

-The coaching Session

-The Mentorship Scheme

-Mini Challenge Series

-Grand Slam Tournament

The initiative was inaugurated with six schools in 2014.
