The Nigeria Telecoms Games season 6 is gradually progressing!

Following the first weekend of the NTG2016, the competition entered day 2 on Sunday, 11th September 2016, featuring football matches and various indoor games. 

Match Day 2

The day 2 of NTG2016 featured 2 thrilling football matches.

First match of the day was the highly competitive one between 3-time champion, MTN and 2015 finalist, IHS Towers. The match ended with both teams sharing the spoils in a goalless draw.

MVP of the match was IHS’ Damilare Balogun.

?

In the 2nd match, 2-time champion, Etisalat played LM Ericsson. The first half of the game was goalless, but the 2nd half took a different turn. Both teams came back to dominate, with Ericsoon scoring the first match of the game and Etisalat equalizing just a few minutes before the end of the match.

MVP of the match was Ericsson’s Otobo Omomewo.

Indoor Games

The indoor games of NTG2016 officially kicked-off with teams competing in scrabble, table-tennis and chess.

In the Table-Tennis single, Akeem Egbekunle of MTN and Abosede Akinsete of IHS both emerged champions in the male and female category respectively.

For Table-Tennis doubles, the duo Amedu Fatai and Ridwan Onibudo of Ericsson emerged 1st in the male category. The female category saw Oluwatoyin Onawole and Bukola Famoshinpe of Ericsson emerge champions.

Spectator Fun Game

Spectators were treated to a different and exciting game, as they had the opportunity to try their hands on a game of basketball for a chance to win.

Kids were not left out. They challenged and beat the adults in the game of basketball.

Athletics

The athletics event took place on Saturday, 10th September 2016, with all teams participating in 100 and 200m heat.

Action Continues…

Get ready! The NTG2016 sporting action continues this weekend.

Following the 100m and 200m heat held last weekend, athletics continues on Saturday 17th September at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Football Chess, Scrabble and Lawn Tennis continues on Sunday, 18th September at the Digital Bridge Institute, Cappa, Illupeju – Lagos.
