After an entertaining opening ceremony of The Nigeria Telecoms Games, action continues this weekend in the football event.
The biggest rivalry of the Games will be played out as MTN takes on Etisalat. This is referred to as the “El Teleco” of The Nigeria Telecoms Games. The rivalry between the two sides is now evenly balanced- MTN won the first 2 Championships while Etisalat took the last 2 Championships.
So far this season, MTN is the only side to win a match after they defeated LM Ericsson 1-0 while Etisalat were forced to a draw by Airtel.
New comers, IHS will have their first taste of the Games when they play Airtel Nigeria on Saturday August 8, 2015 at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium. IHS, the leading Telecommunications infrastructure provider will take on a reformed Airtel side that were 2nd Runners-Up last year.
Airtel will be coming into the game after an impressive match on the opening day where they held the defending champions, Etisalat to a one all draw.
