GTBank Masters Cup

.The GTBank Masters Cup season 7 continued on Tuesday, January 17, 2018 as participating schools took to the grassy pitches in Lagos to compete in the female category of the competition.

The following matches were played at St. Finbarr’s college, Akoka:

FEDERAL SCI. AND TECH. COLLEGE, YABA 0 – 3 ANSAR-UD-DEEN COLLEGE, ISOLO

The first match at the venue saw Federal Science and Technology college lost three goals to nothing to Ansar-Ud-Deeen College, Isolo. Abdulganiyu Zainab netted a brace to be named the Most Valuable Player of the match; while Salami Sukurat’s 48th minute goal ensured the Isolo-based side enjoyed a first win in the competition.

BELLINA COLLEGE, AKOKA 1 – 3 DOWEN COLLEGE, LEKKI

Ogbonna Anayafelowa dazzled for the away side, scoring a hattrick to erase Idowu  Mary’s 12th strike. Ogbonna was named the Most Valuable Player of the match for his brilliant efforts.

The following matches were played at CMS Grammar School, Bariga:

QUEENS COLLEGE, YABA  2 – 1 GREENSPRINGS SCHOOL, LEKKI

Oluwandara Goodluck’s early goal could not save her side from a 2-1 defeat from Queens College, Yaba; courtesy goals from Oretan Toluwalope and Ogunleye Adunoluwa. Oretan was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the encounter.

METHODIST GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL, YABA 2 –0 JIBRIL MARTIN MEM. GRAMM. SCHOOL, IPONRI

The second match of the day saw Arida Tochukwu net a brace to help her side to an easy win over their opponents, thus winning the Most Valuable Player award.

REAGAN MEMORIAL BAPTIST GIRLS’ SECONDARY SCHOOL, SABO 0 – 1 INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, LAGOS (UNILAG)

Okwumabua Mercy scored a 41st minute as International School, Lagos recorded a narrow win over Reagan Memorial Baptist Secondary, Sabo. Mercy was awarded the Most Valuable Player award.

The following matches were played at St. Gregory’s College, Ikoyi:

ANSAR-UD-DEEN GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL, ITIRE 4 – 0 FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, IJANIKIN

Ayinla Abiola scored a brace while goals from Basirat Ademola and Aleem Aisha ensured the home team eased past Federal Government College, Ijanikin. Ayinla won the Most Valuable Player award for her efforts.

ATLANTIC HALL, EPE 3 – 0 WALK OVER WESTERN COLLEGE, YABA

 

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, IJANIKIN 1 – 3 ATLANTIC HALL, EPE (Male Category)

Atlantic Hall, Epe secured an easy win over FGC, Ijanikin in the Male category that saw Tskama Jedidiah win the Most Valuable Player award.
